Summary:
Provide Network Data Communications engineering support for Network support Services for the KADM contract at Kirtland AFB, NM.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide network data communications analyst support for the KDAM contract at Kirtland AFB, NM. Design, implement and monitor computer and information networks, such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, and other data communications networks (VolP).
Provide technical support for voice and data network systems, create and maintain network documentation, maintain hardware and software standards, and work on projects as needed in order to upgrade to new and/or improved communication equipment and procedures. Duties involve, among others, management of local and wide area network, projects and installation of new devices, system and on-golng maintenance of infrastructure. Design network and computer security measures. Research and recommend network and data communications hardware and software. May perform network modeling, analysis, and capacity planning. May perform other duties as assigned.
Education:
Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited college (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Level of experience:
3-5 years' experience in network architecture hardware and software troubleshooting techniques.

Provide customer service to end users with varying levels of experience Assist and users in timely and efficient manner to provide resolution to technical problems
ln—depth knowledge of LAN/WAN communications, network hardware such as Fiber Channel switches, Cisco: routers, switches, bridges, gateways and firewalls
Knowledge of TCP/IP and routing
ln—depth knowledge of routing protocols such as RIP, EIGRP, BGP and OSP
Strong understanding and practical experience with technologies like MPLS, VPLS, MLA VPNs and Traffic Engineering
Must be well versed with the advanced engineering and administration of multi-protocol routers, multilayer switches, network security devices and network management systems
Provide customer service to end users with varying levels of experience.
Must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
Selected applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classlfied information
DoD 8570 Tier ll certified (Security+)
Desirable Qualifications:
Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems
Certification in one or more of these areas: MCSE, CCNA, CCNP, CClE, CNE
Ability to learn new technologies quickly
Ability to spend long periods in front of a computer terminal examining documents Ability to work as required to complete assignments per predefined schedule
Ability to multi-task in changing dynamic environment
Experience working with a military customer
Self-starter and self-driven – ability to work independently to complete assignment tasks

College Degrees must come from a school that is accredited in the discipline of the degree to be considered.
